Operations & Community Manager

a.k.a Integrator

 

We are seeking a passionate, highly organised and proactive Integrator to join our small, friendly collaboration consultancy. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated and pragmatic and can think strategically whilst nailing the nitty gritty day-to-day issues, being the glue for the organisation's people, processes, systems, priorities and strategies. 

The role will lead the operations of our consultancy as well as providing community management  to our Community of Practice. It is likely this role will grow to become two separate roles with predicted (hoped for) growth, and you will be instrumental in helping us to build out these functions whilst at a small scale, to ensure we grow sustainably over the next few years.

  • The role is primarily virtual, with occasional in-person meet-ups (usually in London)
  • It is a part-time, flexible, 4 days (32 hours) a week role.
  • The pay is £45,000 per annum pro rata.

To oversee and manage the overall operations of the consultancy, ensuring smooth functioning and efficiency:

  • Work alongside the MD and Finance Manager to develop and manage budgets, approve invoices, monitor expenses
  • Actively oversee and manage strategic project teams, ensuring projects are on track and meeting needs of the organisation
  • Work alongside Lead Consultants to monitor client relationships, service agreements and consultant fee schedules.
  • Work alongside Consultancy Directors to develop and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of delivery and client satisfaction including supporting the development of content collateral to support client growth
  • Spot, develop and implement process and systems improvements to ensure more efficient running of the business
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies and legal requirements
  • Report on overall business progress and work with the Primary Circle / Director group to identify areas of focus or concern.

Oversee and manage RISE's small Community of Practice 

  • Develop and implement strategies alongside the CoP Director to engage community members, support participation and enable a strong sense of belonging
  • Serve as the Primary Point of Contact for community members
  • Plan and co-ordinate virtual and in-person community events and gatherings
  • Facilitate the capture and sharing of knowledge and experience within the community in our Hub
  • Support activities to sustainably grow the Community

We are looking for someone who has proven experience in delivering in a busy operations management or a similar role,

  The ideal person will have...

  • Meticulous attention to detail, able to ensure balls aren't being dropped; i's are dotted, and t's are crossed. 
  • A systems and process geek who is always on the lookout for how to make an experience smoother or process more efficient
  • Thrive in an unpredictable environment, working with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - you know how to communicate thoughtfully internally and externally across different mediums (Slack, Zoom, etc.) 
  • Happy working remotely and can find ways to get to know the team virtually as well as in person
  • Exceptionally technically savvy, particularly with platforms such as Slack, GSuite tools, Notion, HubSpot, Zapier, Canva.
  • Comfortable developing, managing and working with business planning budgets.
  • Comfort speaking up, sharing observations, identifying issues and providing feedback to colleagues - you will be the one holding it together.
  • Ability to push projects forward from strategy to implementation with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent follow-up skills - you pride yourself on closing the loop and holding yourself and others accountable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, someone who enjoys building fun and connected relationships at work
  • Passionate about RISE’s mission and the work we do to support improving people’s experiences of work

It is helpful to have relatively easy access to London, for occasional in-person meetings.

We work flexibly (creating space for family, fun, caring commitments etc.) whenever we can, although there are meetings you need to come to and delivery times to meet. 

The role is also eligible for annual performance bonus pay, pension, and flexible time-off. 28 days holiday (pro rata) and additional competitive benefits.

The role will be a PAYE role.

Timeline

  • Application deadline Monday 3rd July at 11 am (BST)
  • We will contact a shortlist for an initial conversation by  Thursday 6th July, which will be held virtually on the either the 12/13/14th July
  • We will hold a second round of final conversations the week beginning 17th July. These may be held in person, in London
  • We would ideally like you to start towards the end of August / beginning of September
  • With all this, we do have some flexibility (just ask!)
